User-Generated Content Policy

AnimeChat.gg lets people talk to each other. That means users create content — text messages, GIFs, images, profile details, and live video. This page explains what is allowed, how we moderate, and what happens when someone breaks the rules.

This policy applies to every part of AnimeChat: random text chat, random video chat, direct messages, community channels, usernames, avatars, and profiles.

1. You Must Be 18+

AnimeChat is an 18+ platform. You must accept our Terms of Service before you can chat.

We run automated detection for users who indicate they are under 18. If you state your age as under 18, your message is blocked, you receive a warning, and repeat instances result in a permanent ban.

If you are under 18, do not use AnimeChat.

2. Prohibited Content and Behaviour

The following are not allowed anywhere on AnimeChat:

Absolutely prohibited — instant permanent ban and, where applicable, referral to authorities

• Any sexual content involving minors, or any attempt to sexualise, groom, or solicit a minor
• Sharing or requesting child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Threats of violence, or content promoting terrorism or violent extremism
• Sextortion, blackmail, or non-consensual intimate imagery

Prohibited — removal, suspension, or ban

• Nudity, sexual acts, or sexually explicit content
• Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech
• Content attacking people based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation
• Graphic violence or gore
• Content promoting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
• Spam, scams, phishing, or fraud
• Solicitation of money, personal information, or off-platform contact for exploitative purposes
• Impersonating another person
• Selling or advertising illegal goods, drugs, or weapons
• Attempting to evade a ban

3. How We Moderate

Automated systems. Messages are automatically scanned before or as they are delivered. Our systems detect under-18 age signals, prohibited content, spam, and abuse patterns. Flagged messages may be blocked from delivery.

User reporting. Every chat has a one-tap report button. Every user can be blocked. Reports include chat context so our moderators can see what happened.

Human review. Flagged content and user reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Serious reports are prioritised.

Enforcement actions, depending on severity:

• Message blocked
• Warning issued
• Chat ended
• Temporary suspension
• Permanent ban (enforced by account, device, and IP)

Bans for the "Absolutely prohibited" category above are immediate and permanent — no warnings.

4. Reporting and Blocking

To report someone: tap the report button in the chat, choose a reason, and submit. You do not need an account to report.

To block someone: tap block. You will not be matched with them again.

To report something urgent — including any content involving a minor — email [email protected] immediately. These reports are prioritised.

We aim to review reports promptly. Reports involving child safety are actioned first.

5. Child Safety

We have zero tolerance for content or behaviour that endangers children.

If we identify child sexual abuse material or an attempt to exploit a minor, we will:

• Immediately and permanently ban the account
• Preserve the relevant evidence
• Report to the appropriate authorities and child-protection organisations, as required by law

We cooperate fully with law enforcement in these cases.

6. Appeals

If you believe you were banned in error, email [email protected] with your username or account email. We will review it.

Bans for child safety violations are not appealable.
